Young, wave-making rapper Ycee is currently on a media and promo tour in the UK and he stopped by at Factory 78 TV for a quick interview in which he talked about his music career, his game-changing single Jagaban and his beef with rapper Vector.

Speaking to the host, Adesope, Ycee said his upbringing greatly influenced his style of music.
He talked about listening to a lot of American music growing up and this helped shape his career as a hip hop artiste.
“I was just exposed to a lot of American culture growing up.
“I listened to a lot of American music growing up, at a time I listened to even more American music than local music. [And] so it was just easy for to flow with that vibe and go with that mood and along the line started listening to Nigerian music so I’m like let’s fuse this so that’s why my music comes out the way it does.”
He also talked about the single Jagaban saying he had a feeling it was going to be the hit record to push his career to the next level.
He said the song blew so much it started to amaze him why it actually did, as he can not recall what he did that led to the success of the song.
Also, he recounts the process through which he initiated the remix of Jagaban with Olamide, saying the YBNL official DJ helped make everything happen as he always helped promote the music.
