The Judge in charge of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court in Gwagwalada Area Council Division, Justice Mwada Balami, has called on the pastors to empower their church members financially with offering gathered from their various churches, in order to establish businesses of their own.
Balami, who made the call while addressing the gathering at the Heavenly kingdom church international during the church service last week in Gwagwalada, expressed dismay that some clergymen had failed to meet up with the needs of their church members, despite the huge offerings at disposal of the churches.
He charged the clergymen irrespective of their status to take care of their church members, so as to enable them to cope with basic necessities of life in the society.
He called on Christians to always dedicate themselves to the service of God and humanity, and urged them to the closer to God in the heart instead of mere worshipping. He stressed that “we must reflect on our past and ask God for forgiveness while praying.”
He employed Christians to live a selfless life and share what they have with their neighbors, urging them to be their bothers /sisters’ keeper at all times.
The Judge therefore, advised clerics as well as followers to work together towards wining souls for God, while pleading with the clergymen to be patient with their followers.
